Finally, all the Surprises, Suspense, and Silly Dramas got suspended. It is such a great relief that Congress (I) realized, recognized, and responded, with a reasonable and responsible stand, after all the hoopla. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for a good DECISION.
There was not one good reason that they could come out with, for all this mess. As we all know, PC (P. Chidambaram) succumbed to the pressure of KC (K. Chandrashekhara Rao) and did BC (Bungled the Case), thus causing CC (Chaos and Crisis). Then, CC (Central Congress) got pressurized by SC (State Congress), mostly comprising of TC (Thieves and Chamchas), and not knowing what to do, started the process of DC (Damage Control). After all the LC (Loss of Crores), they wanted to resolve this imbroglio, by involving the HC (High Command).
Now, it is VC (Victory of the Commons). I am sure all of us are Happy.
Let us get to know the truth of the Story. Here are a few questions, all of those Clowns and Jokers have to Answer, if they really believe in what are they doing, saying, and want us to believe in them.
1. My first few questions go to K. Chandrashekhara Rao, more known as KCR. The best expansion for KCR is King of the Circus Ring. You have been a Member of the AP Assembly for the past 2 decades from Telangana. Why did it suddenly dawn on you in 2002 or 3 to float a party for a Separate Telangana State, claiming that it was a poor, underdeveloped Region, and it was treated like an Orphan? Were you Blind, Deaf, or, Dumb, that you could not figure out the reasons, that are your main stay now?
2. Can you release the details of your agreement with the Congress (I) in 2004 for a pre poll alliance? We will pay for the expense if you want it to be published in all the leading Daily Newspapers of Andhra Pradesh. Assuming that there was an agreement, what was the Time Frame for a Separate Telangana State? And if there was a deadline, what was it?
3. When you won 5 Lok Sabha Seats and 25 + Assembly seats in 2004 with a Congress (I) Alliance, why did you not have a bargaining power to demand a Separate Telangana State, and fix a deadline, as you do now? When you have been a Member of the AP Assembly for nearly 2 decades, why did you not contest from Medak Parliamentary Constituency, in 2004, which comprises of Siddipet, your Assembly seat?
4. When you contested for the Lok Sabha, what was the reason for choosing Karimnagar Seat? When there were at least 15 Parliamentary seats in Telangana, then? And what was the reason for resigning so many times? And Contest again? Do you know how much it costs the Government (aka Taxpayers) to conduct an election? The expense your two recontested elections from Karimnagar could have fed thousands of Hungry Telangana Mouths for hundreds of days, or paid for their children’s school education for a few years, or, covered the medical expenses of sick and ill human beings of Telangana, or the money could have been spent for other essential supplies and services of Telangana People for many months. I mean, the same people, you and your cronies are currently worried about.
5. If your demand for a Separate Telangana State has so much value, why did many of your party’s elected members rebel against you? When all of you resigned, and, recontested, how many of you retained their seats? Can you please explain the reasons for the heavy losses?.
6. May the people of Telangana know the reasons for you having a poll alliance with TDP and the Left Parties in 2009 elections, and breaking it soon after the elections? Why did Vijayasanthi, your party MP stopped caring you? And out of all the Parliament and Assembly seats you contested in 2009, why did you not win in many of the seats your Party contested?
7. And after the 2009 elections, why did you keep quiet till November and relegate your demand for a Separate Telangana State to the back burner?
8. And, now, it is Chandrababu’s Turn to answer the questions. Having opposed a Separate Telangana State as long as you were an ally of BJP, that claims to have created 3 states, what was the reason for a sudden Turnabout in 2009 for a poll alliance with TRS? Did you ever realize that people perceived it to be a marriage of convenience? It is not a Turnaround strategy, it’s Turncoat Politics. Telugu Desam was a party floated by the late and great NTR to restore the pride of all Telugu Speaking People. And, one of the objectives was to keep all the Telugu speaking People United. You hijacked the party, which in Corporate Terms, is known as Hostile Takeover, and converted it to be a personal domain. Many of the Telugus appreciated your efforts to develop Andhra Pradesh, but not your political machinations.
9. May the Telugu People know what is your party’s (aka your stand) about the division of the state? I thought only the weather and Wall Street change everyday, but looks like your stand changes every minute, if not every second. All of us know Akaasam lo Chandrudu (Moon in the Sky) changes his shape every night, but with you, it’s not predictable.
10. Oh God! Its now the BJP’s turn to answer the questions. If they ever have any answers. The BJP people from Telangana, like Vidyasagar Rao, Bhandaru Dattatreya etc, are in the forefront of the Separate Telangana Movement now. They both held Cabinet positions when BJP was in power. Did any one of the Telangana People hear about their concern about Telangana? Did these two ever talk or demand a separate state? Now, they say, that when that BJP was in Power, 3 states were created. OK. Well and good. Can they produce one bit of evidence that they ever voiced their concerns for a Separate Telangana? They cannot, because they did not. Sorry BJP people.
11. Is it worth this space to ask any questions for all the other parties that occupy the political landscape of AP? I don’t know. But, let us give them a chance. PRP, CPI, CPM, Lok Satta, etc, since you are there, please answer. What’s your stand on a Separate Telangana State, if you have any? Please do not feel bad, if you cannot answer. When many of the major parties cannot, you have no reason to feel guilty.
12. Now’s the time to ask a Big question to all the Telangana People. Do you really want a Separate State? Do you believe these politicians? Do you think Telangana is backward? Is it Underdeveloped? Or under nourished? Or is it treated like a child of a lesser God? Don’t Laugh. I am not joking. As my friend Narendra Yasa said, may be there was a need of an agitation or movement for a Separate Telangana State way back in 1969, when it was totally different from what it is now. He reiterated that a demand for a Separate Telangana State in this century doesn’t make any Sense. And, he is from Telangana.
FINALLY
All the above Politicians, Parties, Individuals, please answer/respond to all of the questions, and only then, you can think or plan to have any further agitations, Fast Unto Death Programs, Schemes to instigate Innocent and Ignorant Students, Cause hell and Havoc, create hardships to common hardworking people, damage and destruct Public Property, and, bring a Negative image to the Great State of Andhra Pradesh.
I APPEAL TO ALL THE TELUGU SPEAKING PEOPLE, WHEREVER THEY LIVE, AND OTHER FRIENDS OF ANDHRA PRADESH, TO BE TOGETHER FOR AN UNITED ANDHRA PRADESH
JAI SAMAIKHYA ANDHRA PRADESH

Hi Mahesh,
ReplyDeleteSince you have a question for us, the people of Telangana, I am going to volunteer to answer! Yes, we do! We do need statehood for Telangana. I would like to know why you think that this century is any different from the last century - for God's sake, just rolling over into 21st century does not change everything around you.
But I guess your question was more about why in this age of globalization there's still a need to talk about all this. That's because the issue of development is still just as relevant as it was 40 years back. But again, it's not that the people from here did not have leaders who wanted to develop this region. People here will tell you how YSR overthrew Marri Channa Reddy in 1992 by fabricating communal tension in the city, and how the Jai Andhra movement was started in 1972 to dethrone PV Narasimha Rao from the CM's chair. On the whole, all our leaders got in the CM's chair was 6 years, all put together - all in bits!
And yeah, now I know, your finger will point to PV, our former prime minister, why couldn't he do much about it! Unfortunately in our form of governance the PM can only allocate funds but cannot always make sure on which regions he wants particular projects - that is left to the states. Moreover, PV had a lot of other issues at the center that kept him very busy.
So, your idea about pushing everything on to the local politicians is not really valid.
Talking about globalization, a lot of people talk about how job reservations is a stupid reason to ask for separation. Well, that's what the urban elite think. They don't look at this problem in a realistic way - they just live away in the glory of urban life, least bothered to understand why so many people around them want Telangana! The reservations in jobs is obviously in the government! But what's the big deal in just those 2 lakh (that matter) odd government jobs? Well, in this case, even today, a government job that is created is not just one job created! People here believe that these 2 lakh people obviously are key decision makers in the way the government functions on a day to day basis. Not just that, they basically constitute the lobbies within the government that can lobby for you when you are setting up a business or need to get a contract! All this may sound foolish, but is real, that's how things work in the government. You need to have people you know, or people who can relate to you! Unfortunately it does not work in favour of the locals at all when people over there swear by people from their regions!

ReplyDeleteAs for the people in the private sector - the place is all yours! Most probably you are in Hyderabad! So you are a Hyderabadi, and you belong to the Telangana region. The city of Hyderabad has been a glorious city for ages now, always welcoming people from all parts of the country, and the world. In 1937, there was a cover story on the TIME magazine about the richest city of India - Hyderabad - do check it out - http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,770599,00.html
For those people who think development in Hyderabad started after 1956 - here's a myth buster - Hyderabad had the Begumpet airport way back in 1930s. Except for the newly laid Krishna water pipelines (that burst at least once every month), most of Hyderabad's thirst is quenched by water sources that were here since ages. Hyderabad, even today completely depends on storm water drains constructed during the Nizam era. The city planning since 1956 has been so horrible that even as more and more people started coming in, the primary drainage wasn't upgraded accordingly - subsequently polluting many of the 100s of lakes around the city, and eventually exterminating most of those ecological zones for business! Development isn't all about what you see around you, underneath there is a lot of infrastructure that is being stressed beyond it's limits!
Well, I can go on and on, but here's a very interesting and elaborate article that you must read, and please do pass it to your dear friend Narendra Yasa too - http://madhav-mudumbai.blogspot.com/2009/12/revival-of-telangana-state-just-demand.html
Here's the most important thing - what people of Telangana are asking for is only a division in governance! In no way will this be a division among Telugus (but it may if this issue is kept pending for too long)! Also, we are not separatists, we are people who only want to get back to a state where Hyderabad state(Telangana) and Andhra state existed side by side until 1956. Andhra state for your information was the state that Sri Potti Sriramulu died for (not for AP as it is today). Anyway, even back then in 1950s, the first SRC was loud and clear that it wouldn't be wise to merge Andhra and Telangana. Here's a letter written to a central leader back then by CM of Hyderabad state - http://ourtelangana.com/content/dated-1953-burgula-ramakrishna-raos-thoughts-vishalandhra
So, here's one for you, instead of countering the reasons for statehood, can you actually focus on why you want to remain in a united state? Even after Telangana comes back into existence as a state, we can still move between our places just like we do today. The difference will only be in the administration! But yeah, I would also make sure that our dialect and cultural ways will no longer be treated the way they have been all these years - even if it needs a blanket ban on movies that ridicule the dialect!
